Creating Your First Project

This guide walks you through creating your first Mathom project and getting it ready for analysis.

Step 1: Navigate to Projects

From the main dashboard, click on Projects in the sidebar navigation.

Step 2: Create New Project

  1. Click the "New Project" button

  2. Fill in the project details:

    • Name: Give your project a descriptive name (e.g., "Acme Corp Acquisition")
    • Description: Add context about the deal or analysis scope
    • Deal Type: Select the type of transaction (optional)
  3. Click "Create Project"

Step 3: Project Settings

After creation, you can configure:

  • Team Access: Invite team members and set permissions
  • Review Areas: Customize which aspects to analyze
  • Analysis Prompts: Configure AI analysis parameters
  • Notifications: Set up alerts for analysis completion

Step 4: Upload Documents

  1. Navigate to the Documents tab
  2. Drag and drop files or click "Upload Documents"
  3. Wait for processing to complete
  4. Documents will show "Ready" status when processed

Step 5: Run Analysis

  1. Click "Run Analysis" button
  2. Review analysis configuration
  3. Confirm to start
  4. Monitor progress in the Analysis tab
