Managing Your Account Settings

Learn how to configure your Mathom account settings and preferences.

Accessing Settings

Click your profile icon in the top right, then select Settings.

Profile Settings

Personal Information

  • Name: Update your display name
  • Email: Change your email address (requires verification)
  • Profile Picture: Upload an avatar

Preferences

  • Timezone: Set your local timezone for timestamps
  • Date Format: Choose MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY
  • Time Format: 12-hour or 24-hour
  • Language: Interface language (currently English)

Security Settings

Password

  1. Navigate to Security tab
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter and confirm new password
  5. Click "Update Password"

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers
  • At least one special character recommended

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enable 2FA for enhanced security:

  1. Go to Security tab
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes securely

Active Sessions

View and manage logged-in devices:

  • See all active sessions
  • Log out from specific devices
  • Log out from all devices

Notification Settings

Configure how you receive updates:

Email Notifications

  • Analysis completion
  • Support ticket updates
  • Team invitations
  • Security alerts

In-App Notifications

  • Real-time analysis updates
  • Team activity
  • System announcements

Privacy Settings

Data Sharing

Control what data is used for:

  • Product improvements
  • Feature development
  • Anonymous usage statistics

Account Visibility

  • Profile visibility to team members
  • Activity sharing preferences

API Access

Generate and manage API keys:

  1. Navigate to API tab
  2. Click "Generate New Key"
  3. Name your key
  4. Copy and save securely (shown only once)
  5. Set expiration and permissions

Deleting Your Account

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Advanced tab
  2. Click "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm by typing your email
  4. Enter password
  5. Click "Permanently Delete"

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is irreversible and removes all data.
